For every wound, there is a scar.
Raised on fame and fortune, Liam McGuire is a spoiled man-child. His handsome face blinds the world, but I see through it to what he is inside.
Ugly.
When his tour bus rolls off the road, Liam’s rushed to the hospital where I work. A jagged scar runs the length of his face, ruining his good looks and jeopardizing his career. As his nurse, I’m around him more than I’d like, but the more I get to know him, the more I realize the world wasn’t blind to him.
I was.
Liam McGuire feels deeply and loves wildly, throwing himself into everything he does with more passion than I ever dreamed possible. With that intensity aimed at me, the scars slashed across my own heart start to heal. He is fire and I’ve been cold my whole life.
Am I ready to thaw? Or is life better—safer—when I’m cold and numb?

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
I’ve had Wounded on my TBR list for a few weeks now, but after reading Inevitably You, the second standalone book in the Brookside series, I had to go read Wounded right away and I am so glad that I did.
This book tells a beautiful story of two very broken people, wounded in very different ways. Liam’s scars are physical, and as one of the hottest pop stars/underwear models on the planet, the scar on his face could very well mark the end of his career. For sassy nurse Bailey, her scars are emotional and have stunted her from moving forward with her life.
She can’t stand Liam, and in a crazy way, he finds her bluntness refreshing and invigorating since there’s nobody else in his life who treats him like that. As the two begin to spend more and more time together as Liam bunks with Bailey in secrecy as he heals, they begin to heal each other in the best of ways, from the inside out.
Wounded is a touching story, and one that I am so very glad I added to my Kindle collection!
