I’ve really enjoyed this series of interconnected billionaire standalones, and Ruthless Kiss is another hot one! I had some reservations going into this book however because the previous one in this series, Shameless Kiss, was also a relationship pact. But Amelia Wilde did a great job in making Ruthless very different.
Jasper is a HOT, but cocky, real estate developer with a rep for being… well, Ruthless. He meets his match in up and coming fashion designer Isabella, who wants to take him down a few pegs when Jasper buys her mother’s building and the tenants are forced to leave. They strike an agreement where Isabella submits herself to Jasper for a month in exchange for purchasing the building herself. But of course, that isn’t the way things play out, because they both develop feelings for one another only to later feel betrayed by the other.
There are a few plot holes that left some questions in my mind, but nothing that distracted from the story. The main characters are complex and intriguing, and the supporting players do their supporting job rather than take over the story. And there are a few fun appearances by Dominic and Vivienne! Overall, a great, sexy story!
